Western States School for Dog Trainers


Heather working with a student and her dogs.  Hands on experience is a very important part of the experience at Western States. 

Working with dogs and their owners can be a very rewarding career.  Western States is focused on teaching how to work with dogs with behavioral issues.  You will watch K9 Lifeline throughout their daily activities, including consultations with clients and their dogs, working with dogs at K9 Lifeline for Board and Train, and working with their own pack of dogs.  You will also spend a lot of hands on time with dogs learning how to work with problem dogs in a safe, but effective manner.

 

Western States is located in beautiful Salt Lake City, UT.  There are many affordable hotels in the area, and we are located just 5 minutes from the Salt Lake International Airport.  We train all year long and welcome students any time.  

Training Field

The fee to attend Western States is $2995.00.  This fee includes:

-2 weeks of training

-Certification in E-Touchtm

-Certification of Training from Western States

-Unlimited support from K9 Lifeline after your attendance

-Hands on work with dogs

-The flexibility to learn about and explore any type of training you may want to pursue

-A supportive and encouraging staff

-Additional or refresher weeks of training for only $500.00 per week

-How to use a pack of dogs to help rehabilitate clients dogs

-How to treadmill train a dog

-How to put together a productive consultation

-Anything else you want to learn about dogs, we can help

I think this is VERY important for beginners(trainers), it makes me feel more confident to know you are backing me up.
